Beautiful Weekend/Float Foundation

Anyone watching WBZ yesterday got the chance to see live video of the people jumping off the Boardwalk which we hit on in our last post, so hopefully that builds some confidence for those who are a little nervous out there.
We are all very excited for another beautiful weekend and a whole lineup of tours. We have tours going out at 3:15 tomorrow and 3:45 on Sunday feel free to jump in if your interested mention the Blog and get $25 off the regular price.
Tomorrow we will be sharing Scorton Creek with the Float Foundation who is running their yearly charity float to benefit a great cause last year it was to raise awareness about the damage the sun has on the skin and precautions everyone should be taking, you can find out more about it on Facebook by typing in The Float Foundation. So good luck to the Piekarskis and everyone else who worked hard organizing it.
We will cover a new spot to kayak every other Thursday so make sure to check it out and we will continuously be posting pictures and videos of the week. Thanks Everyone and have a fun and safe weekend.

Mill Creek (Boardwalk) Tour

RideAway Kayak offers tours in some of the most beautiful locations on Cape Cod. One of those spots is Mill Creek in Historic Downtown Sandwich Ma. This spot is also commonly referred to as the "Boardwalk" because of the historic wooden bridge that fords Mill Creek to abeautiful beach facing Sandwich Harbor. In 1991 Hurricane Bob destroyed the bridge leaving Sandwich the task of coming together and getting it rebuilt in a way that would capture its original essence of a major part of the town's history. So over the next year people were able to purchase a plank and place a message on it, so as you make your way over the bridge you canliterally witness the importance of every single plank and see how a community came together to rebuild such a symbolic piece of Sandwich's history. You better believe I have my message on one those boards. Plus the bridge also acts as a right of passage for all Sandwich Residents, your not a true Cape Codder until you've made the leap off the boardwalk and all are welcome to take the plunge.
This tour is based around the history of Sandwich, you are able to see the town hall, church
steeple, police station, etc and paddle almost directly into the center of town, while being surrounded by Cape wildlife. This is a very beginner friendly tour. These images only give you a small peek into the beauty and history that makes up this wonderful area.

Stand Up Paddle Boards

We have added our new S.U.Ps and they are a huge hit. The workout is like no other, very rewarding. They are 11'4'' and are an absolute blast you can use them standing up or if your having trouble you can set it up on your knees or use it like a surfboard on your belly.
All the people that have used them so far can't say enough about how much they enjoyed them and would be back to try them out again. Check them out at our website www.rideawaykayak.com. The hype is no joke. You may have seen the recent articles about them in the Herald, Wall Street Journal, and numerous other publications. So come by and try them out.

We also have our monthly Full moon tours going out over the next couple of days. Its an experience you will never forget
